RBL Status - App Review

Do you need to check your hosts against multiple Domain name System (DNS) blacklists?

Are your e-mails inexplicably not getting through to their destination?

This is a handy App for doing exactly that, and much more.

Now for the ACIDS test:

Aesthetics
Just enter a new host in the first screen. The first part (name) can be anything that makes it easy for you to remember, and then enter the host name as text, or an IP address.

There are then 22 Real-time Blackhole List (RBL) checkers; simply tick as many, or few, as you want.

Now hit Done.

If all is well the checker remains green, if not it turns red.

The extra bits are simple (but very comprehensive bits of information which, by simple press of the i will give you complete WHOIS information for the domain (which can also be copied or emailed) as well as Reverse Host name information.

Cost
The App Costs $2.

Indispensability
Although there are various online resources for checking blocking status, this neat App allows you to save your names for easy subsequent checking, as well as the ability to save and share the information.

Dependability
The App certainly works.

Security
The App is self-contained, so no concerns on this front.
